How do I create a slideshow/flash in the header!?

I would love to have a couple pictures on my header so that it creates a flash type of thing.. I think it looks more professional to have a variety of photos that change every few seconds but I am unsure of how to do that.
Can anyone help me!?

I have seen some snazzy CSS editing jobs that have GIF headers, though. But if you don’t already know how to edit CSS, you won’t be able to do it.

You can create an animated GIF in the exact dimensions of the header image and upload it in Appearance > Header.

But doesn’t the header editor automatically resize all uploads now, even if they’re exactly the right size?

Only in “responsive-width” themes.
(No guarantee, as you know, that the same answer will apply next month or next week…)
