How do I create a static page with nothing on it?

How do I remove the text box area from my static home page? All I want to show on my home page is my background image. Right now, it shows the text box (white box) where text would go. I don’t want that to show at all. And I would prefer the strip with the blog by …. to be more towards the bottom, if possible.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t really do this without the Custom Design upgrade.
However, you can use some (unauthorized) code trickery to superimpose the image in front of the actual page.
However to however, the image is large, so it won’t load immediately, so a visitor will see the view you don’t like then see the image that masks that view (and the slower one’s connection the longer this will take).
So I wouldn’t recommend this workaround. If you’re interested in it despite its shortcoming, let me know.

Thank you for the help. I probably won’t risk the slow loading image.
I thought about upgrading to the custom design but I didn’t want to pay for it if it wasn’t going to help me. If I upgraded, I would be able to move them around?

    You’re welcome.
“If I upgraded, I would be able to move them around?”
Depends on what you mean. If you expect simple operations such as clicking and dragging, no. If you mean whether what you’re looking for is possible, yes (via coding in the CSS editor).
