How do I create a summary of posts on my front page rather than a full text list
-
On my front page, I would like the reverse chronological listing of my newest posts to be a summary rather than a full text listing. From my Dashboard, in Settings–>Reading, I chose “For Each Article in a Feed” the option for “Summary” but upon viewing my front page, I still see full text. How can I achieve this?

Hi there!
That Summary option is for your followers who receive email notifications and your RSS feed. Instead of putting the entire post in the email or feed, there will only be a summary.
On your blog, you can display summaries by adding an Excerpt. This will allow you to control the actual excerpt that you see.
Or you can add the More Tag. This will allow you the exact place you want to add the Read More link.
Let me know if you have any questions!
