How do I create a website and not a blog? Step by step would be helpful.

  This is what I don’t understand. I like the idea that WordPress is open source & that it may be basically free and it might be easy for clients to edit my sites, if I ever decide to do this professionally. However, I really don’t want to create a blog. Blogs are absurdly easy to create on WordPress,but I don’t want to create blogs In fact, WordPress defaults to a blog. I want to create a website, which may or may not include a blog. Personal websites usually don’t include blogs and most businesses don’t need them. If can explain how I create a website without it being a blog, I would be a very happy camper.

  Perhaps, I should explain how I generally create websites on 3 popular programs – Dreamweaver, Webplus, and Weebly ( Weebly very primitive, easy to use until you do anything even remotely complicated). These programs default to being websites. Basically, you import photos, type in or import text, videos, etc. If you need to add a page, you simply add a page.
