How do I create a website rather than a blog?

  I have just signed up to start creating a website, but seem to have only created a blog, which I don’t want. Please could you tell me how I can create a website for my business? Many thanks in advance for your help.

  Hi there. A blog is a website, but a specific type of website that focuses on dynamic content, i.e. posts. You want a website that focuses on static content, i.e. pages.

  Creating a page-based website is possible on WordPress.com. Instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

  Keep in mind that search engines prefer dynamic content (posts) over static content (pages), so might want to find a way to incorporate posts into your site in any case. Something like a “Latest News” section, or posts featuring your products/services.

  Yeah, I think new ones crop up from time to time, like mushrooms after it rains.
