How Do I Create Catagories

    Ok, I completely new to blogging and the blog lingo/terminology. So could some explain to me in step-by-step format how to add categorizes where people can add their own post within the category I created. For example, How to I create a catagory called “Prayer request” and then allow users to post individual request in this category?

    I’m at the point now where I understand that I can’t have multiple post on secondary pages, and that I need to create categories.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    When composing a post, on the right hand side below the “tags” box there is a box for categories. At the bottom of this box there is a link that says “Add New Category”, simply click this link and a text field will appear for you to name your new category.

    I hope this is what you are looking for.

    Hi biblestudy247,

    christophertravels is right. However, there is also another way you can create categories. From your blog Dashboard, go to Posts > Categories and you will see Add Category on the left.
