How do I create links that open new windows?

  I am linking to other sites in my blog posts, but it’s changing the current window rather than opening up in a new window. Can anyone offer a newbie assistance with this?

  Thank you!! I was doing the link in the HTML screen which didn’t allow me to choose a target. This way is much faster.

  In the html editor (as well as in text widgets), instead of this:
  <a href="URL HERE">TEXT HERE</a>
  you write this:
  <a href="URL HERE" target="_blank">TEXT HERE</a>
