How do I create my own banner?

  If I want to marketing my site on others, I can do it by just adding my homepage in to their system. But a banner is som much nicier. So I wonder how do I create my own banner for my homepage?
  (Sorry if the language is not correct, but English is not my native tongue…)

  You can use photo editor such as Gimp or photoshop to create the banner, alternatively you can use online web app: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=web+banner+generator
