How do I create “read the rest of entry” ?? For larger blog posts.

Dont know the technical term for it but on alot blogs these days I see that people can just give you a bit of info and then have a “read the rest of the entry” link to click if you want to open the entire blog article.
How do you do that?? I like to post pretty big articles but dont want people getting put off by long posts.
Appreciate any help.
