How do I crop an image?
-
My dashboard changed recently, and now I can’t figure out how to access my media library without writing a new post.
Also, now when I add a photo to my media library in order to add it to a post, I can not figure out how to crop it before adding it to the post. The support info for cropping a photo seems to be for the old dashboard?
I feel a little embarrassed that I haven’t been able to figure it out on my own.
Thanks in advance for the help! ~Christina

Hi Christina,
The media library doesn’t appear to have a direct link from the new editor. You can access the media library from the classic dashboard by adding “/wp-admin/” to the end of your domain name in the address bar when you’re on your homepage. Here’s what that looks like: http://hefeedsthebirds.wordpress.com/wp-admin/In the new editor, when you insert an image, click it once. That brings up a toolbar which has image/text alignment, sizing (+/-) and caption options. Also, handles appear around the image so you can either drag one of the corners to make it smaller or click the “-” in the toolbar. I don’t currently see a way to resize the image before it’s in that post editor screen.
