How do I customise Return Path for contact form emails from my website
-
Hi
I have set up contact forms on my website so that the sender e-mails go to my business email address which then sends the sender an auto-responder e-mail with a downloadable link.
All sender e-mails enter my business e-mail inbox fine, but the issue is that the autoresponder fails to send the email with the download link to them.
My e-mail host provider has stated that this is because the e-mail return path is set as ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ and so cannot send my autoresponder to the sender. (Even though if you press reply on these emails manually it does send an email to the intended sender). They say its something that I have to adjust on wordpress.
Can you let me know how to change/customise the return path? Do I need plug in? Will I need to upgrade from my free wordpress site to a paid one to fix this problem?
Here are the pages with the contact forms

Hi there,
There is no way to customize the email return path for the built-in WordPress.com contact form.
You can see if one of the other third-party form options we support works for you instead:

Failing that the only way to do this would be via a contact form plugin, in which case it would require the Business Plan.
