How do I customise user notifications?

I love the JetPack user emailed notifications after they subscribe to blog posts via email, but is there a way to control the look and feel of them?
Are we able to build custom templates and apply our own inline CSS or similar?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
