How do I decide which upgrade is right for me

  Good Morning,

  I have dabbled with a couple of word press blogs in the past and have decided on a blog that I would like to try and ‘professionalise’ and hopefully then monetize. Can I add things like Google adsense to my free plan?

  I’ve been looking at the upgrade packages but your comparisons don’t mean an awful lot to me as a newbie. So I get more memory? What does that allow me to do long term? Do I get a custom theme included within the £85 upgrade? And what if half way through the year of the £85 upgrade, I decide that actually I’d like to upgrade again? Is there a supplementation fee to go to the next level? Or do I then have to repay the entire £250.

  Essentially I want to build a blog that has various categories among it’s pages and I probably do need ongoing support from word press as part of this journey which I note is included within the £85 upgrade.

  Any suggestions/ answers to the above greatly appreciated.

  We do not allow Google Adsense at WordPress.com. You can read a bit more about that here:

  By default, WordPress.com blogs are allotted 3GB of space for photos. With the Premium bundle, that limit is increased to 13GB, and you’re able to upload photos, videos, and audio files. The increase just allows you to upload more files without worrying about hitting the limit. With the Business bundle, you’re allotted an unlimited amount of space!

  Do I get a custom theme included within the £85 upgrade?

  No – the Premium bundle does not include a custom theme. If you would like to use a Premium theme, you would need to purchase that separately.

  And what if half way through the year of the £85 upgrade, I decide that actually I’d like to upgrade again? Is there a supplementation fee to go to the next level? Or do I then have to repay the entire £250.

  You would receive a discount based on the upgrade you already paid for. For example, if you purchased the $99 bundle and then chose to upgrade to the Business Bundle ($299), you would only pay the difference ($200).
