How do I delete a Blog?

Hi! First of all, please allow me to tell you how much I appreciate WordPress.com’s service, especially since it has been made integral to Windows OS (8.1 with Windows Live Essentials Writer). I used to use previous editions of the service and was unhappy with the changes so I began blogging at Google. No longer. HOWEVER, my question, I inadvertently created a new BLOG which was merely to see the new themes but I can only HIDE it now. I wish to delete it. How do I accomplish this? I thought I could do so following your community’s suggestions about the “Tools” services but there was no option allowing this either. Thank you in advance.

It isn’t important to me since I have not composed an essay of value on it. The additional blog page was simply a “TEST” which I am uncertain how I created it since, by default, new posts are appended to my original blog. This is as I would have it. However, in the case where I would want to “refresh” or start all over with a new blog, I would like all previous posts deleted but my profile to remain so that I could begin anew. This may not be possible as some time ago I read that we must exercise care as the past may return to haunt us; that is, our previous posts will not be able to be deleted ever and so our “historical” stances will be easily reviewed. Just a word of caution – FYI. -

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and be able to delete it.

To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Excuse me but what are you talking about. I have answered questions here for 8 years just like raincoaster has. I answered your question above because it refers to w WordPress.com, hosted blog.Cathylee121 is spamming and that blog she linked dropped to is NOT a wordpress.COM blog.

I just viewed my BLOG and went through the process of deleting it WITHOUT completly executing the procedure (which was not what I wanted to do because as the warnings and you have indicated the process is irreversible and everything will be lost). However, it is the other blog that I inadvertently created and hid (until such time as I learn how to delete it without damaging my other blog) that I wish to delete. I now will follow your much appreciated links and see if they allow me to accomplish my desired objective. THANKS! -

No go! As you may have determined, my intention is NOT to delete my WordPress Blog (site or account) but to delete the secondary blog inadvertently created. It was hidden until now since I wanted to explore your suggestions. The only option available (that I could determine) was to delete the entire site (account) rather than just the one additional blog. Thanks anyway.
PS: I am not monitoring others posts so if Cathylee121 is proposing or actually posting SPAM I have not determined this nor wish to. FYI.
