How do I delete a category?

I cant delete a category I made.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can delete it in your dashboard at > Posts > Categories

I find that very odd. Are you using an outdated browser version?
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Are you sure your are referring to a Category and not to a static Page like Landlords

Dynamic categories pages and categories widgets do not have any data that can be displayed until there is a single post with the category assigned that has been published.

(2) The static pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ we bloggers create do not automatically update.Only the dynamic pages like Archives, Categories and Tags created by the software when we publish a post will update automatically update with new posts.
By default the front page of the blog is the Page that displays all posts in your blog. You can create a static front page and have your published posts display on another page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ but doing that does not change what follows.
Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts (not pages) http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page.

Did you create a default category for rentalhouselistings to replace “uncatergorized”?

Yes and no. Which is to say you can hide a default category it with CSS editing but you cannot remove it. See here for details on purchasing the annually renewable custom and CSS editing:

All widgets such as Archives are enabled and disabled here > Appearance > Widgets
Every theme has a “default sidebar display” which does not contain actual widgets. The first time you move a single widget in any theme here > Appearance > Widgets the “default display” which does not contain actual widgets will disappear.
