How do I delete a category?

How do I delete a category? I don’t see any options of doing so? All I am finding is a way to add it to my menu but not to delete it.

If you would like to remove a category from your site, you can do that from the Categories page here:
https://cemchurches.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category
If you hover over the actual category on that page, you should see a red “Delete” link pop-up.
Just a note, I’m guessing you might want to delete the “Uncategorized” category. In order to do that, you’ll first need to assign a new category as the default category for your blog. You can do that under Settings -> Writing here:

Just change “Default Post Category”. Then, you should be all set to delete “Uncategorized”.
