how do I delete a category

    Hi,

    I have the same problem with categories, I can’t modify or delete it I only can add new ones when I’m writing a post, but no more. I read the wordpress support post regarding categories managing, but It appears that I have not the same dashboard…

    Mine is all grey (not black like the pictures in the post) and I have less “options”. In the pictures you can see on the dashboard left side bar “post”, “medias”, “links”, and when you fly on “post” a menu appears where you can select “categories”.
    I only have “post”, “pages”, “menu”, “theme”, “share” etc…, when my mouse fly on “post” or if i click it there is no menu appears, so I can’t access to “categories” for manage it.

    I don’t understand how it’s possible to have another dashboard than everybody… please, if someone can help me it will be really kind ! Cause it’s diffcult to manage a blog without features ;)

    BTW, sorry for my english, I hope that my post is understandable !

    @Dreywind, try using this link to get to the WP-Admin categories page.

    https://SITENAME.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

    Replace SITENAME with whatever your site name is.

    Once you’re there, you can follow along with the instructions in WordPress’s Categories support doc, starting here on page 2:

    I’m sure your English is 10X better than whatever I could do in your language!
