How do I delete a domain name I don't want and never paid to register
-
before paying for “itsallcomingtogether, com” I decided to change the name of the blog to “empressisdying.com” but I didn’t want to create a new account with wordpress, so I just purchased registration for the “empressisdying.com” and made it my primary domain. Now, I can’t seem to access my blog because when I go to “empressisdying.com” I’m told that I have some sort of looping error. I did as instructed and cleared all my wordpress cookies, but this did not solve the problem
Blog url: http://itsallcomingtogetherdotcom.wordpress.com -
Ok, so I’ve managed to get rid of / delete “itsallcomingtogetherdotcom” by changing the name of the site to empressisdying.wordpress,com. So now I have two domains, the one I paid for empressisdying.com and the empressisdying.wordpress,com. Unfortunately, whenever I try and load the empressisdying.com, it’s still trying to point to the old website “itsallcomingtogetherdotcom,” and I’m given a message saying that it’s been deleted.

ok– I give up, I can’t seem to demap empressisdying, com from the defunct itsallcomingtogether.wordpress.com
These are the services I want:
1 blog with the url http://www.empressisdying.com – (should cost $17)
I also want to map another domain I own tsip.org, so that it forwards to empressisdying.com. I(I expect to pay $12 add’l for that.)
And I also want to purchase the custom design option for $30.
As of now, I’ve paid $17 for the domain and mapping of empressisdying.com, but it’s been mapped to the wrong site and I would like that corrected before I make any further transactions. Thanks.

http://empressisdying.com/ is definitely directing to empressisdying.wordpress.com
As for the other domain, you can map that following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
The Custom Design option can be purchased from the Store section of your blog’s Dashboard.

Hello Macmanx,
thanks for the response.
I’m missing something– when I go to http://empressisdying.com, I’m still forwarded to http://itsallcomingtogetherdotcom.wordpress.com.
I understand that I mis-mapped empressisdying during my initial purchase, and will definitely pay for a remap to the correct site. But I should be able to get a refund for erroneous mapping charge per the stated WordPress refund policy.
thanks,
Bryan

if not a refund, then a verifiable remapping of the empressisdying.com url after we figure out why I’m still showing it as incorrectly mapped.

Ah— I tried opening empressisdying.com with IE browser rather than chrome. Mapping was correct and I was able to get the empressisdying wordpress site with empressisdying, com in URL bar–
this suggests an issue with cookies, no?
During my original attempts to solve the “looping” error, I cleared out all wordpress cookies…
any ideas on how to fix in chrome?

Yes, in that case please clear out your browser’s cookies and cache:
