How do I delete a fixed feature?

I use the Quibtus theme. There is a fixed section directly below the main header.. It is called “Older posts” with an arrow pointing left to a “cloud” which contaibns random items, posts and pages. I want to get rid of the whole section and have the feature NOT exist. How do I do that?

You would need the Custom Design upgrade and a knowledge of CSS editing to hide that.

I think what appears to be a tag cloud there may be your menu listing your page titles.

You have a couple of options. You can create a custom menu and choose not to list your pages there since you have them listed in your sidebar. Or you can get the CSS customization for an annual fee and use CSS to hide the menu. I recommend thinking through what would be a reasonable menu for the website and try the custom menu option first.

And the previous and next post links are useful to anyone reading your blog entries. Attack the menu option first then see whether you want to address the next post issue.

    Dear houstonweaver and raincoaster,

Thanks. What finally worked for me after much trial and error was to go to appearance, then to themes, then to customize, then I selected “static first page” and the listings disappeared, even though the line “older posts” with the arrow did not. I do not know yet what else this change may bring in its train, but so far evetrything else seems normal. Thanks for your suggestions.
