Hi There,
You can change your settings to private and then your site is only visible to you and any users you approve. To do this:
-Click My Site
-Click Settings
-Scroll down to Privacy
-Click Private and Save SettingsBelow is a link to our support pages with more information regarding the privacy settings:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
It can take a while for your results drop out of the search engine. You can send a request to Google to remove your site from their index here:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
You can read more from our support pages here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
Hope that helps!

Hi,
I just would like to add, that there is also ahidden
option, that will leave the website visible to everybody, but search engines will be asked not to index it.
Note that the changes may take about 6 weeks for search engines to revisit your site and notice the changes.Hope it’s helpful!
