How do I delete an ad placed on my blog site by a hacker?

My website, http://www.thewitsendscribbler.com, has been hacked. A link to an ad has been placed at the top right corner of my site. (I specifically did not include any advertisements on my website when I set it up.) Also, the name of the link,” payday loans clapham junction”, appears coupled with the name of my website in comparable font above the banner when the site is accessed via a different search engine or listing. I cannot access my thewitsendscribbler.com dashboard (the WordPress log-in site does not accept my WordPress-assigned user name or my password). How do I correct this problem? I don’t want my readers to be deceived into thinking I approved or accepted this link nor do I want them to possibly upload a virus by clicking on it.

I contacted Go-Daddy through whom I set up my site (I considered using advertising but later decided against it) and was told by them that I would have to contact WordPress about this matter. Today, someone said to keep contacting Go-Daddy to talk with their TI about resolving this problem.

Please advise me to the correct procedure to help me to eliminate this problem and regain access to my website dashboard and restore my original website.

I may be reached at the e-mail address below. (sheldonscorner.wordpress.com is not a working website; it was the original site I considered initially).

    Yours truly,

    Hi there,
I’m sorry but we cannot help as that site is not hosted by WordPress.COM and those are the only blogs we provide support for. That site is a WordPress.ORG install and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

    Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
