How do I delete my blog?

I attempted to delete my blog (anthonymontoya.wordpress.com) and wordpress sent me a confirmation email that I deleted it but as you can see the site is still up. Stranger still, wordpress does not register that the blog is my own. On my account (anthonymontoya) when I navigate to “My Blog” it says that I do not have one, although I am still notified of comments being added to the blog. I am very confused as to what is the issue here so any help would be appreciated.

It usually takes 24-48 hours in order for a “deleted account” to be reflected.
Once you log out, don’t try log back in right away. Wait one more day. That should do the trick.

Excuse me but I have answered questions here for over 8 years and that’s longer than almost every support member has even been on Staff.You just posted something that I cannot find any authoritative source for at all. -
