How Do I Delete My WordPress Account

  ACCOUNT, not blog/site.

  It is not good enough to be able to delete all of the information. I want to delete the account. Not just the information. Not just the blogs. The account. I created it; I should therefore be able to delete it. I’m already out of patience on this issue. If there is no way to do this, I will simply have to advise everyone I know to avoid joining this site. I should have absolute control over anything I create. I created this account. Let me delete it. This is not a request.

  Go to your admin panel, and you should be able to delete your account.

  Unfortunately, WordPress.com does not offer a way to delete accounts at this time. I know that’s frustrating and confusing. Getting your account banned won’t remove your information from the site.

  WordPress.com does expect to offer more options for this in the near future, and you can get an update on that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-deactivation/#additional-deletion-options
