How do I delete my wordpress.com site?

Hi,
I recently moved from wordpress.com to .org , but have noticed that my old wordpress.com is still live. I have tried to follow the instructions to delete the site via (tools) as they say but I don’t have ant option saying that.
We have had emails from new readers saying our site is not up to date but this is because they end up on the old one. Our new site is elleafrique.com.Thanks

Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once clicked URL is gone forever.

I am the sole owner of the blog and have tried all the above links before I checked the forums. I don’t have any of the links you are talking about in my dashboard … The tools is there but no sub link. What can I do?

If the you cannot use this link http://iesobodascamacho.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=delete-blog then you are not logged in under the correct username account. -

i have tried everything without results. i dont know what i do
So if you have completed the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submitted it to the Account Recovery Staff, they will contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access. You need to be patient while waiting because the service is not instant and there is a backlog.
