How do I delete my wordpress.com site?

How many username accounts do you have?
And exactly which one registered http://elleafriquemagazine.wordpress.com/ ?

@timethief – with the wordpress.com blog, I am the OnlyOneBasket registered. Everything else was transferred to the self hosting at .org .. If you look at http://ElleAfriqueMagazine.wordpress.com, it last published blogs ages ago. That is the one that I would like to be deleted please.

Hi again,
This thread has been tagged for Staff as stated above.

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in chronological order based on datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.

How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

It’s best that we don not keep posting after a thread has been tagged for Staff help. Doing that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response.

@druesome … Have looked at the link and filled it in but telling me I have the account but should reset the password. I know I can log in to wordpress.com but just don’t have access to deleting the blog.

Hey Salha! Sorry about that. The form typically asks you to reset your password after first submitting it. You would need to submit it a second time to complete the request. Let me know if you run into any other trouble. Thanks!

@druesome … Still having problems because it’s asking for information that I don’t have. I still wonder how I am still able to log in to wordpress.com and can see the blog but can’t delete it. Please help.

Hi again Salha!

Yes, as a Contributor on the site, you will be able to see the blog, it’s just that you don’t have the right permissions to delete it. You would have to be the blog’s Administrator to be able to do so. If you know the Administrator of the blog, you may ask him or her for assistance in deleting it. Cheers!

Hi !

But I am the administrator of the blog. I set up ElleAfriqueMagazine.wordpress.com in 2011 but have now moved it to self hosting via wordpress.org now elleafrique.com … I noticed that some of our readers are being directed to the old website hence the reason to want to delete it.
