How do i delete older version of my site from popping up in search results?

    Please help!
    I’ve started a wordpress site and what’s happening is that when I search for the website, the current one comes up fine, bt an older version appears as well somewhere in the search results- the older version has innapropriate ads attached to it that automatically come up when you click on it…how do I delete older versions of my site that I have since updated- why do they even exist when I make changes and update the site- why would old posts be saved and worst, searchable? Please help asap! I notice the last post to this group was four months ago..I certainly hope this page is monitored often as wordpress does not offer any customer service phone number I can call…..please help!
