How do I delete or block followers

    I am receiving notifications of followers who I suspect are not genuine. Certainly some of them are selling stuff or trying to raise money. How do I delete or block them, please?

    Hi there, as long as your blog is public, there isn’t a way to block people from following it.

    It is possible for people like spammers to follow your blog, although it isn’t something you need to worry about. Pretty much the only thing they have to gain by following you is getting you to visit or follow their blog through the notification email.

    If those followers have WordPress.com blogs that contain spam content, please report them following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/
