How do I delete subscribers?
-
In the last several hours I have suddenly and inexplicably gained 4 new subscribers. However, the domain for each is “@163.com” — a China-based email provider. I am fearful that this may be a tactic for hacking, phishing, spamming, or any other malicious usage.
How can I remove these subscribers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I am afraid we currently don’t offer the option to remove specific email addresses from your Follower list. As long as your site is publicly available on the web, there is no way to block specific people from seeing it. Even if someone is not following your blog, it does not ban them from your site or stop them from reading it. Essentially by being a follower they’d only get email notifications about posts you publish – they wouldn’t be able to get any account information from it.
Note that there is no limit for how many people can follow your site.
You may want to check out our privacy options for more information about limiting access to your site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
If you’re being harassed or abused by a WordPress.com user, please report this here:
If the follower him/herself is asking, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each e-mail.
If you want to remove these followers, I can do that if you privatize your site. This will only allow readers you invite to view the site.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!
