how do I delete the comment boxes on gallery images

  I have the comments removed from my pages, but I would like to remove them from my gallery images also. Is there a separate uncheck box? I have the page, edit, discussion comment boxes unclicked but comment boxes are still showing up on my gallery pages. Help !
