How do I delete the Meta Widget from Motif Theme? Is is a permanent widget?

    The Meta Widget (and the Archives Widget) appears to “come with” the Motif Theme. I don’t see a way to delete these two widgets from my side bar. Please advise.

    If you add a new widget to the sidebar, the “starter” widgets should disappear. Unfortunately, so long as you leave the widget area empty, those widgets will show up.

    You could also remove the sidebar all together with the custom design upgrade. Let me know if you are interested in that, and I’ll be happy to give you the CSS to make the change.
