How do I delete the word 'uncategorized' from above my blog post

  Hi, I’m new to word press and had the laza theme daisy installed. I wrote my first post and above it is the word ‘uncategorized’. How do I remove the wording? I’m not sure what the reason is for the categories anyway, if you can explain those two things I’d appreciate it.
