How do I delete topic boxes in my reader?

You know how on your reader you can type in different topics, so you can find posts about them? And the topics you type appear in little rectangular boxes? Well, usually there’s a little cross on each of the boxes in case you want to get rid of a topic. Unfortunately the little crosses have disappeared, so I have a long list of topics and I can’t get rid of them.
How do I delete the topics?

4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
