How do I delete unwanted links?
-
I am a new user and a novice. I was very happy with my progress, until this morning. My web pages suddenly contain links to commercial sites that I did not set up, and I definitely do not want. The words “free” and “Shakespeare” on my home page are the first two glaring examples.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s a browser add-on issue. Please note that it’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were not placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

Thank you, timethief. I suspected my browser when I encountered similar commercial links while navigating through WordPress’ help pages.
Restarting the browser with add-ons disabled seemed to remedy the situation. I will peruse the sites you’ve linked and try to wise up.
