How do I determine what wordpress version i'm running

  The version is irrelevant if you are referring to a WordPress hosted blog like http://bornagaindemocrat.wordpress.com/ because (1) Staff do all upgrads and (2) because we are running the most recent version 4.1 (3) and we get updated prior to the updates been available to self hosting WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  Please toss whatever you are referring to you aside knowing there are two flavors of WordPress and the ubiquitous tutorials online are for WordPress.ORG installs and not for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. Read this comparison http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
