How do I develop a new WordPress-themed website for an old, existing website ?

  Domain mapping question: I already have a domain and its website, but I would like to move it to WordPress and recreate the website using one of WordPress’s themes, but I don’t want to have the old site go down while I’m devel;oping the new one on WordPress. How do I do that ?

  I recommend that you start developing your WordPress.com site on the free example.wordpress.com domain that you get.
