How do I disable jetpack for my site?
-
I (or something) seem to have enabled jetpack on my site https://hsilalpint.wordpress.com/
I noticed this because some generated weather report images on https://hsilalpint.wordpress.com/liabakken/ and https://hsilalpint.wordpress.com/2014/03/07/vaervarsel-time-for-time-for-liabakken-oslo-oslo-yr-no/ didn’t update, and in the log for the image generator I found “Photon/1.0” the user agent field.
I’ve googled and come up with this URL: http://jetpack.me/support/photon/
And the photon support page says to go to the “Jetpack” entry of the control panel to switch it off, but in my control panel, there is no “jetpack entry”, so how can I switch it off?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks!
I already found the http://jetpack.me/support/photon/ which unfortunately doesn’t help me much, since I have no “Jetpack” entry in the control panel.
One thing I did a while back was to switch gallery postings to be gallery postings here: https://hsilalpint.wordpress.com/category/hsil-alpints-bildarkiv/
Is this something that may have triggered the use of Jetpack?

Hi Steinarbang,
Please see my reply over here:

Hi clickysteve,
Your answer on the other topic doesn’t say how to switch the caching off. Is that possible?
If it helps I only need it switched off for two images (the generated weather reports, which I use because the yr.no plugin for self-hosted WP isn’t available on wordpress.com).
Thanks
(For completeness, here’s my old request for the yr.no plugin: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/could-the-yrno-plugin-be-added-to-wordpresscom )

Sorry, last URL was wrong!
This is my old request for the yr.no plugin: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/add-support-for-embedding-yrno-weather-forecasts

Hi there,
Turning off the caching isn’t possible for individual images or sites.
Additionally, we don’t currently support the yr.no embeds, but thanks for suggesting it as an improvement.

Hi clickysteve, and thanks for your answer.
If/when the yr.no embeds become available, I don’t see any place I need to disable image caching.
But without yr.no embeds, not being able to configure this in some way, breaks my workaround (i.e. generated images in img-tags)…:-/
(I just need the workaround for two image URLs)
Thanks!

Hey there,
Currently there is no way to disable image caching for sites hosted on WordPress.com that embed images from third party sites, so I’m afraid it won’t be possible to do this for the images.
