How do I disable user access to editing my site?

Clearly, this is an embarrassingly simple beginner question, but I can’t figure it out: When I publish a post to “My Site”, a small pencil symbol appears under the post, and by clicking that any user can access my admin page and write or edit posts. Is “My Site” not for public consumption? If not, then what is?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. The only way users can gain editing privileges on your site is if you specifically invite them from the Users section of the dashboard.

The edit icon you see under posts when you view your own blog is visible only to you. If anyone else views your blog they won’t see it.
