How do I display a map thumbnail in the contact info widget?
-
Google map thumbnail not showing in contact info widget even though it is selected.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have added another contact info widget to my sidebar, but the map thumbnail will not display. It displays for the first one and I even pasted in that address to see if it would display then and still no joy. Can I not have two contact info widgets in my sidebar (with a map thumbnail)?

Hi there,
Sorry about the troubles! Right now, it’s only possible to add one map with the Contact Info Widget to your site. Adding the map more than once doesn’t work with the code Google provides for us, so the space for the map is created but the map can’t be generated.
Our team is aware of the issue, but we don’t have a fix for it yet. I added your report of this issue to let them know.
In the meantime, I’d recommend adding both maps to the body of your Contact Us page, as you can embed multiple Google Maps to a single post or page. But for the Contact Info widget in your sidebar you should probably display the map that your readers need to travel to most often. I’d also keep the Contact Info widget for the second address, but leave the map box unchecked. Readers will still be able to click the address to reach a Google Map.
Very sorry for this inconvenience!
Best,

Hi there!
Sorry for the long wait, but a developer was able to find a fix for this issue!
You can now have multiple Contact Info widgets set to display the map thumbnail. It looks like you still have both widgets in place, so if you’ll select the “Show Map” setting on the 2nd widget, the map will display now.
Thanks for your patience. :)
