How do I display 'like' & 'share' icons at the bottom of a page?

How do I add the ‘like’ and ‘share’ icons to the bottom of pages? On one of my WordPress sites, this seems to have loaded automatically, but on the other it’s missing. Any guidance much appreciated – thanks.

    Thanks Roger :-)
I’ve followed the path you’ve given, but not found an option to ‘display likes on front page’.

Sorry, my info should have shown “Show Buttons On” which is located on left of screen… Some of my guides are set out as individual terms which I understand.

    Select: Dashboard
    Select: Settings
    Select: Sharing
    Select: Show Buttons On
Tick First Three Option to resolve problem
Select: Display Likes on Front Page
    Click: Save Changes

Hi Roger – thanks so much for your extra info :-)
I think I’ve found the problem now – comparing the two ‘settings’ pages from my 2 sites side by side, it appears that my Maidenhead Speakers one is an older version of WordPress (created before the share/like buttons appeared as a default, as they did on my much newer site Rational Wisdom).

I have selected the settings you’ve mentioned, but this doesn’t solve the problem with the older site.

I would like to have a row of ‘share’ icons (as my newer site has) on the older site too, so I guess my question now would be: ‘How do I import/adapt the older site to incorporate the same features as the newer site’.
Hope I’ve explained that clearly – thanks so much if you can shed any light on the answer! :-)
