How do I display only summaries of each post on the front page?

  We’d like our front page to show only summaries of the latest posts. I can’t seem to find a setting to make that happen. Is there something I’m missing?

  I do have the box for “summary” checked where it says “For each article in a feed, show” at Setting/Reading.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That Summary option is for your followers who receive email notifications and your RSS feed. Instead of putting the entire post in the email or feed, there will only be a summary.

  On your blog, you can display summaries by adding an Excerpt. This will allow you to control the actual excerpt that you see.

  Or you can add the More Tag. This will allow you the exact place you want to add the Read More link.
