How do I display ONLY the Parent Categories?

    Hi, Im tying to make a menu with categories using wp_list_categories but I would like to display ONLY the parent or main categories.

    I have tried:

    wp_list_categories(‘show_count=0&hierarchical=0&depth=0’);
    wp_list_categories(‘show_count=0&hierarchical=0&max_depth=0’);

    but this still shows ALL categories (and the nested subcategories)…

    Any help or clue are very welcome, THANKS A LOT!
