How do I divorce my two blogs from one another?

Created a brand new blog with the sole purpose of dividing my contents between two completely different sites. Problem is I haven’t discovered how to add some old followers to my new site. Whenever I try to do it, it says I’m already following.
How do I “divorce” the two blogs?

You’ll need to create a totally new username by going right here:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1
Once you have the new user, you can transfer one blog to the other user by following the instructions right here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
That should take care of it for you!
