How do I download a theme for my self-hosted site?

  I am interested in trying the Canard theme on our self-hosted site, but the theme page link “Login to WordPress.com to download Canard for your self-hosted WordPress site.” doesn’t go to a page where I can download it. Instead, it reloads the theme page with “?ref=login-to-download” added to the URI.

  How do I get to a link where I can download the theme?

  When I followed those steps, clicking the link took me to the WordPress.com sign in page. After signing in, the text changed to “Download Canard for your self-hosted WordPress site.” which was linked to the zip file. Have you tried logging out of WordPress.com and logging back in again and then visiting the Canard theme page?

  Yes, I even opened up Firefox (I normally use Chrome) and tried that, but I get the same result: no link, just a repeat of the previous page inviting me to log in to download it.
  Thanks for the direct link…they do like to make things difficult…
