How do I drop the "wordpress.com" part of an existing blog to get .net?

I registered as amidonestates.wordpress.com but now I want to purchase a .net, how do I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, but how is this done? Can it be done from within the existing free domain or do I have to start over? I am really having a hard time navigating wordpress to begin with so please provide step by step instructions if possible. Thanks.
