How do i edit category.php?

    I would like to change the way my category page is setup, so i get excerpts in form of a small gallery, which then links to my posts. I’ve been through a few themes, but none of them seem to support it. I’ve found several guides, and the all center around editing various .php files – mostly category.php.

    Is there a way for me to edit these .php files, or is there a list of themes which support the format with excerpts as a gallery?

    Hi there,

    On WordPress.com, we do not allow users to edit their theme files, with the exception of CSS. This is for security reasons. As such, I’m afraid you are not able to edit category.php, on this theme, or any other.

    I’m not sure of a particular theme that does what you’re trying to achieve, but I would start by reviewing the theme gallery, by going to Appearance > Themes from your dashboard.
