How do I edit my page permalink?

  I have changed the home page from one displaying posts to a static page, which was called home2 but is now the home page. The slug is still showing as home 2, when I go to pages which are children of ‘home’ their url is /home-2/page. I have tried to edit the slug in quick edit (and pressing update) but it doesn’t keep it.

  Hi there,

  Before you can change the slug to “home”, you’ll need to delete the home pages that are currently in your trash. From “pages,” click “trash,” and then click the “empty trash” button. After that, you should be able to change the slug on your new homepage.
