How do I edit or delete the “home” page?
-
I recently had a “home” page with writing under it, but then deleted it because I thought it would get rid of the “Home” tab all together. Instead, the tab is still there but I can’t edit it to add new info or get rid of the tab completely. Any advice? It just says that I’m looking for something that is not there.

The “home” tab represents the main page of your blog that your posts show on. That “page” doesn’t really exist as a page. It is built on the fly by the theme and wordpress script files. There is no way to delete or change that tab because we do not have access to the underlying theme files.
To add content to the “home” page, create and publish posts and they will show on that page automatically in reverse chronological order (newest post at the top).
First off I suggest you familiarize yourself with the differences between pages and posts (if you have not already): http://support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ .
Also perhaps you can tell us what you are going to be doing with the blog and then we can make suggestions on how best to add and organize that content.
