How do I edit the comment page through css?

  • Unknown's avatar

    I’ve edited my theme and when I click on comments at the end of each post, it shows when someone comments. But each comment is numbered and then the text starts to the right of the number. But the number and text are over lapped and I can’t seam find the area in css spreed sheet to change the spacing. Can someone please help. Thanks Todd

    Man, you’ve got WAY too many pictures on that front page! Your site took forever to load.

    I took a quick look at the CSS and I can’t find it, either. Looking at the element, it’s somewhere in the ol#commentlist but I don’t see that in the CSS. Perhaps one of the CSS gurus can help you more.

    I’m not certain it will work, but you may want to experiment with something like this:
    #commentlist ol li p {
    margin-left: 1em;
    }

    The child selectors of #commentlist that I’m suggesting are based on the actual hierarchy I’m seeing when I look at the DOM (in FireFox, you can get at this from the menu via ‘Tools | DOM inspector’).

    I also tend to agree with vivianpaige about the number of pictures, although the design decision about how much to show on the first page obviously depends on what you want it to accomplish. I had trouble finding where one post ended and the next one began. If you wanted to cut down on how many pictures show on the front page, one option would be to just show the first couple of pictures of each post on the front page, with a See more of this shoot link to go to the full post…

    I did like some of the pictures. The one with the guy in the tux break-dancing was great!

    I agree with others about the loading time,you can reduce the size of the photos they are too large.
    My own question is how do i add “the see more of this” link to go to the full post.
