How do I edit the email that is sent to followers

When I publish a new post, an email is sent to followers. I didn’t realize the entire post was published in the email. I currently only have the free setting of WordPress, but would like to edit the email so that they only see part of the post and need to come to the blog to read the entire thing. Is there any way to do that? Thank you in advance for all of your help!

Sure thing, you can change that in the Settings. Go to My Site>Manage>Settings>Writing and scroll down to Feed Settings. You’ll see there that you can
Limit feed to excerpt only, this is the setting you’ll want to enable.I hope that helps :)
