How do I edit the html/css to enter affiliate links?
-
There are a few web sites that I am affiliates with (one being Amazon, for example), but I cannot determine where I can edit the html in order to set up these links. Is this a limitation of the “.com” version of the free wordpress websites, or am I just looking in the wrong place?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is no a CSS editing question. It’s a policy question that ought to be in the Support forum. :)
No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.com blogs. The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

http://en.wordpress.com/tos/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs. -

Ah, thank you very much. Admittedly, I am a little embarrassed I didnt already know this, but thank you for letting me know. I am usually more thorough. I will have to investigate how to do this now. (in other words, if I have to start from scratch, which isnt the end of the world, or if I can upgrade to open up this ability.)
anyway, sorry for the oversight and thanks for pointing it out!

There is no upgrade you can purchase here at WordPress.COM that changes what I posted above.

Affiliate marketing blogs and advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com are not allowed.
http://support.wordpress.com/advertising/There are no restrictions if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Please see this guide to learn about the differences.
